myRescover Sidebar Overview — What Each Tool Does
A quick map of the nine items in the myRescover sidebar — what each tool does and where to start by role.
The vertical sidebar on the left of every myRescover page is the launchpad for every tool you use. This is a quick map of all nine top-level items, what they're for, and where to start.
At a glance
| Sidebar item | What it does |
|---|---|
| Dashboard | Your homepage. Recent analyses you've run, plus Rental Scout targets surfaced from Portfolio Finder. |
| MLS Search | Search any property on your connected MLS feeds and pull it up for analysis. |
| Off-MarketPlace ▾ | Rescover's own marketplace — list properties for sale to investors, with controls (tenant-occupied, rental rate) the standard MLS doesn't offer. |
| Property Suite ▾ | The investor-facing search and toolkit: saved searches, favorites, and shared lists. |
| Portfolio Finder ▾ | Lead generation. Find off-market properties matching any criteria; AutoPilot keeps watching for new matches; Rental Scout automates BDM outreach to new FRBO listings. |
| Investment Gateway ▾ | Manage relationships with investors and referral partners; surface featured properties to them. |
| Portfolio Insights ▾ | Manage existing portfolios for clients. Per-property analytics, snapshots, and shared reports. |
| Analysis Engine ▾ | Run deep financial analyses on any property. The same engine powers the "PPE Analysis Requests" you see on your Dashboard. |
| Resources ▾ | External links: the Rescover Knowledge Base (where you are now), and the Investment Dictionary. |
The carat (▾) means the item expands to show sub-tools when you click it.
The two items without a sub-menu
- Dashboard is a single page — your home — so it doesn't expand.
- MLS Search is a single tool, also no sub-menu.
Everything else has a small sub-menu that you'll see expand on click.
Where to start as a new user
- First, set up your profile so anything you send out has the right contact info on it: see Your Personal Profile (Contact Information).
- Second, configure your account-level branding under Settings → Company → Company Branding so all client-facing pages and PDFs show your company logo and colors.
- Then — depending on your role:
- Investor or buyer's agent? Start with MLS Search to look up a property, or Property Suite to set up saved searches.
- BDM at a property management company? Start with Portfolio Finder → Rental Scout to see new FRBO listings to call.
- Asset manager / portfolio manager? Start with Portfolio Insights → Clients to set up your existing portfolios.
- Listing on our marketplace? Go to Off-MarketPlace → My Listings.
A note on naming
You'll occasionally see the term "PPE" or "Property Performance Engine" — that's the legacy internal name for what you now see as Analysis Engine. They're the same product. The URL still uses /property-performance-engine/... for technical reasons; you can ignore that.
Top bar (above the sidebar)
| Element | What it does |
|---|---|
| Account logo (top-left) | Returns you to your Dashboard from anywhere. |
| Address search | Type any property address; auto-completes and takes you to that property. |
| Hello, your name ▾ | Account menu: Settings, Brand Portal (advanced — for multi-office brand networks), Change Password, Logout. |
Footer (every page)
Every myRescover page shows a footer with a version number (currently v6.3.8) and links to Rescover's Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions. The version number is useful when you contact Support — it helps us trace which build of the app you're seeing.
