Inviting Team Members and Investors to Your Account

How seats work, how to invite team members and investors, what to do when you run out of seats, and how to remove users.

Most Rescover accounts include a number of seats — slots where you can add team members (agents, BDMs, analysts) and investors. This article covers how seats work and how to add or remove people on your account.

How seats work

There are two kinds of additional users:

  • Team members — people on your operations side: agents, BDMs, analysts, admins. They get a Rescover login and can use the same tools you do (subject to the role you assign).
  • Investors — clients who you give access to your Investment Gateway portal. They don't see your Rescover admin tools; they see the curated portal where you publish deals for them to underwrite.

Seats for team members and investors are counted separately. Your plan defines how many of each you get; the most common Property Management plans include several team seats and unlimited investor invites under Investment Gateway.

Add a team member

  1. Open Settings → Company → Team Members.
  2. Click Add Member.
  3. Enter their name, email, and role (Admin, Agent, BDM, Analyst — see Team Members for what each role can do).
  4. Click Send Invite. They'll get an email with a setup link. Once they accept, the seat is consumed.

Pending invites count against your seat total. If you've used all your seats but the seat is "stuck" on someone who never accepted, cancel the pending invite to free it.

Add an investor (Investment Gateway)

  1. Open Investment Gateway → Clients.
  2. Click Add Client (or Invite Investor on some plans).
  3. Enter their name and email. Optionally tag them with their investment criteria so deals you publish to them are filtered automatically.
  4. Click Send. They'll get a branded email (your branding, from Settings → Company → Company Branding) with a link to their personalized portal.

Investors don't need to install anything. They can browse deals, save favorites, and message you back through the portal.

Out of seats?

If you hit your seat limit, the system will block new invites. Options:

  • Remove or deactivate a team member who's no longer with the company. Their saved analyses transfer to your account before deactivation.
  • Email support@rescover.com to add seats. Most plans accommodate seat additions for a small per-seat monthly fee.
  • If you signed up on an older plan, switching to the current plan tier may include more seats — see Plans and Pricing.

Remove a user

For team members: Settings → Company → Team Members → ... → Remove. Their saved searches and analyses transfer to your account so nothing is lost.

For investors: Investment Gateway → Clients → ... → Revoke Access. The investor's portal access is removed but any deal history with them is preserved on your side.

Common issues

  • "My team member isn't getting the invite email." Check spam. If still missing, resend from the Team Members page. Some corporate email gateways block transactional emails — adding noreply@rescover.com to a safe-sender list usually fixes it.
  • "I added an investor but they say they don't see deals." Investors only see deals you've explicitly published to Investment Gateway. Curate at least one deal first; the portal feels empty until then.
  • "How many seats do I have?" Visible on Settings → Personal → Billing. The same page shows how many are used.
