Fixing Missing or Late Email Alerts

Why Saved Search and AutoPilot emails go missing, arrive late, or come too often — and how to get the cadence right.

Email alerts are how Rescover keeps you in the loop without you having to log in. AutoPilot, Saved Searches, and Rental Scout all send email when there's something new for you to look at. If those emails stop showing up — or arrive too often, or arrive late — work through this list.

"My morning listing emails have stopped"

Three things to check:

  1. Subscription is still active. Open the relevant Saved Search or AutoPilot. The header should show the next-send time. If it's blank or paused, click Subscribe or Resume.
  2. Frequency is set correctly. Each Saved Search has its own frequency (daily, weekly, on-event). If you set it to weekly and didn't realize, the daily flow stops. Check Settings on the Saved Search.
  3. Email isn't going to spam. Search your inbox for "rescover.com". If everything's in spam, mark one message as Not Spam and add the sender to your safe list.

"I'm getting too many emails"

Reduce frequency or trim the search criteria:

  • Open the Saved Search that's noisy. Tighten filters — narrower price range, fewer ZIPs, specific property types.
  • Switch frequency from "as new properties arrive" to "daily digest" — same content, one email instead of many.
  • Mute a single Saved Search by clicking Pause Alerts on it. Resume later when you're ready.

"My emails arrive late or out of order"

Email delivery depends on your email provider. Rescover sends each batch on schedule; Gmail, Outlook, and corporate gateways sometimes hold or reorder messages. Most users see emails within minutes of the scheduled send. If they're consistently hours late, your email gateway may be rate-limiting — your IT team can usually whitelist us.

"I unsubscribed by accident"

If you clicked Unsubscribe in an email, you've turned off that specific channel. To turn it back on:

  1. Log in to Rescover.
  2. Open Settings → Personal → Email Preferences.
  3. Re-enable the email types you want.

If the page reports you're "globally unsubscribed", reach out to support@rescover.com and we can re-subscribe you on the back end.

Specific alert types

  • Saved Search alerts — fire when new MLS listings match your saved criteria. See Saved Searches.
  • AutoPilot alerts — fire when AutoPilot identifies a high-fit deal in your pipeline. See AutoPilot.
  • Rental Scout alerts — fire when new FRBO leads land in your territory. See Rental Scout.
  • Investment Gateway client alerts — fire when an investor on your portal favorites a deal or messages you back. Configurable in Investment Gateway settings.

Common issues

  • "I get the same email twice." Usually a duplicate Saved Search with overlapping criteria. Open Saved Searches and dedupe.
  • "Frequency dropdown changes don't seem to take effect." Hit Save explicitly after changing frequency — some users miss that the change isn't auto-saved on the older Saved Searches UI.
  • "I never set up Saved Searches but I'm getting alerts." Probably a default search auto-created during onboarding. Open Saved Searches; you'll see it listed and can pause or delete.
