AutoPilot — Daily Alerts on New Matching Properties
AutoPilot turns any Portfolio Finder saved search into a daily watcher. Get notified when new properties match your criteria — by email, in-app, or instant push.
AutoPilot turns any Portfolio Finder saved search into a daily watcher. Instead of remembering to re-run your searches, AutoPilot scans for new matches every day and notifies you when one appears. It's the difference between "I should look at the market today" and "the market told me what to look at."
Why use it
The best deals don't last. By the time you remember to check, the property's been listed for a week and gotten 8 offers. AutoPilot fixes this by giving you alerts within hours of a new match.
How to set it up
- Run a search in Portfolio Finder → New Search with the criteria you want to monitor.
- Tune the filters until results feel right.
- Click Save — name the search descriptively (you'll have many).
- Go to Portfolio Finder → AutoPilot and toggle the saved search to ON.
- Pick notification preference: email, in-app, or both. Frequency: daily (default) or instant.
What happens then
Every day (or in real time, depending on settings), Rescover re-runs your saved searches against the current market. New properties matching the criteria are:
- Pushed to your AutoPilot inbox
- Surfaced on your Dashboard
- Sent via email (and/or SMS / Teams / Slack if integrated)
Properties you've already seen don't reappear. Properties you've sent to Ignored stay out forever.
Configuring AutoPilot more deeply
Under Settings → Portfolio Finder → AutoPilot (or the Settings → CRM → AutoPilot tab depending on your subscription) you can configure:
- Notification channels (email / Slack / Teams / SMS via integration)
- Frequency (daily digest vs. instant per-match)
- Quiet hours
- Per-search overrides (some searches notify instantly, others daily)
Tips
- Set up multiple AutoPilots, not one giant one. Run separate AutoPilots for different markets, property types, or strategies. Each can have its own notification cadence.
- Use Exclude liberally. AutoPilot quality is set by your filters. If you're getting too much noise, tighten Exclude rules.
- Send some AutoPilots to investors directly. If you have an investor with very specific criteria, share their AutoPilot with them so they get the alerts in real time.
- Review your AutoPilots monthly. Markets change. A search that surfaced 3 deals/week six months ago might surface 20/week now. Tighten as needed.
Common confusions
- "AutoPilot vs Rental Scout." Rental Scout is hardcoded for FRBO rental listings (BDM lead-gen). AutoPilot is generic — it watches whatever criteria your saved search defines. They're complementary.
- "Why isn't AutoPilot finding new properties?" Most often: criteria too tight, or your default search area is too narrow, or you marked too many properties as Ignored. Loosen one variable at a time and re-run.
