"Displaying and protecting MLS data"

How the public IDX layer and the verified VOW layer split the data, and why your board stays happy.

Putting MLS listings on a public website comes with rules. Investment Gateway is built around them.

Two layers

The IDX layer is the public one: listing display for any visitor, within board display rules. The VOW layer is the deeper one: advanced search and full financial analysis, restricted to verified real estate professionals and their registered clients, with identity verified at login.

A public visitor with no agent relationship sees non-MLS data from Rescover's own property database rather than restricted feed content. Verified users get the full experience: complete listing data enriched with valuations and rental estimates, branded reports, and client sharing.

Freshness

Listing data synchronizes continuously from the MLS feed, so your site isn't serving yesterday's inventory.

What this means for you

Compliance is structural, not something you configure: the layers, the authentication, and the display rules are enforced by the platform. Your job is keeping your MLS agreement current; see Connect your MLS.
